Madeline Wikler

watercolor landscapes

Madeline Wikler has been drawing, painting, potting, and photographing all of her life, but it was not until she and her husband bought a summer home in Maine in 1990 that she began her serious interest in and study of watercolor. She enjoys the challenges and surprises that watercolor brings, as well as the freshness and transparency of the medium and the white of the paper.

In addition to painting plein air (outside), she works in her studio on a variety of subjects, including buildings, florals, landscapes, and figures.

Madeline is a Signature Member of both the Baltimore Watercolor Society and Potomac Valley Watercolorists, and a founding member of the Gallery 302 in Bridgton.
