Rebecca Hillman

Pottery

Rebecca grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts during the the 60's and 70's!  While attending the public school system she spent most of her time in the art department involved in silversmithing, silk screening, pottery, enameling, weaving and drawing.

Rebecca's first career was as an executive chef that consumed most of her time.  But after twenty-seven years of cooking she finally had the free time to take up her first love of pottery once again.

"I do a mixture of figurative and functional and draw my inspiration from my surroundings and nature... Every time I touch clay...it's a new opportunity.  I very much enjoy the process of asking- What if?  Which, if I'm not careful...can quickly become- Why not? I have found that the pieces I push the most often become breakthroughs; certainly learning tools and most become my favorites."
